Shen-Pop Style: Dance of the Energy With Adrian Lobo
​​Where Urban Street Dance & Hip-Hop culture and the sacred energy merge as one.
Shen (神) is the Chinese word for Spirit and moves with this consciousness through the street dance known as Popping or Pop-Lock. Shen-Pop combines Urban Street Dance & Hip-Hop culture with the ancient wisdom's of Internal Martial Arts, Sacred Geometry, Energy Arts, Shamanism, and merging with the Higher Self. This dance is a high-disciplinary art form helping bring proper foundation, technique, and learning the elemental styles of Water-Waving, Wind-Tutting, Fire-Boogaloo, Metal-Robot, and Earth-Footwork. The Dancer comes into alignment with the natural forces and higher consciousness through this practice. The way of the Shen-Pop is a holistic dance mastery system that heals, empowers, and transforms all who experience it with style and grace.

Wudang Taiji Sword Seminar​  with Zhou Xuan Yun

“In Daoist practice, the sword is not seen as a tool for killing enemies. It is a symbol of justice and righteousness, and represents the discipline used for conquering ignorance, reckless passion, and aggression.”

This 2-day workshop taught the principles of Wudang Taiji sword. Instructions included step-by-step instruction of the 64 movement Wudang Taiji sword form and fundamental training exercises that will build and strengthen the students movement practice.

Bharata Natyam is a basis for understanding ourselves in our own times. In addition to physical expression and artistry students will have exposure and cultivation to world culture. 
Bharat Natya incorporates distinct and powerful percussive sounds of rhythmic footwork, intricate and nuanced bodily movements, precise hand gestures and theatrical story-telling that communicates emotions. As a performance form, Bharata Natyam truly transforms music and literature into visual poetry movement.

Wudang 5 Element Tai Yi Form and Taiji Sword Seminar with Zhou Xuan Yun
Each day was filled with lecture, discussion, hands on instruction and guided practice of Wudang Internal Martial Arts.
The Wudang 5 Element Tai Yi Form:  We learned the entire sequence and discussed the philosophies and applications that are contained within the form. As well how to use the forms movements as a healing practice.
The Sword Seminar ( day 3 ) was filled with movement, learning refinement and terminologies associated with the Taiji Sword. We practiced with guided fundamental conditioning drills. We worked on alignment and development of our entire bodies system, form/function/structure. Bagua Daoyin- Profound Study of Mind, Body Union with He Jinghan 8/15:

Bagua Quan teaches change, it teaches the ability to be fluid, it teaches the practitioner about self-awareness and how to balance internal energies. Thus the Art is considered healing and restorative. Bagua Quan is a martial arts system – but it is much more than a martial art. The goal of Bagua is to learn about change. The exercises open and strengthen the body and return it to its natural state. Bagua Quan methods develop a root – like a strong tree. We are then able to move with the root as we walk, sit, jump and squat. Master He JingHan; a 5th generation Bagua Master who has 44 years’ experience in his art, and is a noted Author of several books. Master He JingHan has dedicated his life to his culture and in sharing/preserving the art of Bagua Daoyin.

The movement of Bharata Natyam dance is unique and dynamic, and has many health benefits;  It broadens mind-body and cultural awareness.  A dance that dates back more than 2000 years ago! Asha is very passionate in preserving Indian culture. She is an accomplished dancer, a proud recipient of many prestigious awards and a disciple of celebrated teachers: Guru Muthiah Pillai, Guru Kittappa Pillai and Professor U.S. Krishna Rao.
